Memorial meal
Arranging a memorial meal — at home or in a venue — with respect for family customs and without unnecessary pressure.
A memorial meal is a chance to gather, remember someone dear, and support one another. In Orthodox tradition, remembrance is often held on the 3rd, 9th, and 40th day, and also at six months and the anniversary; the day of death is usually counted as the first.
The meal is not a mandatory requirement — we arrange it when the family wishes it and is ready.
The place can be at home or in a café or hall near home or the cemetery. We help agree the number of guests, the menu — including Lenten dishes when needed — and the time so relatives can gather comfortably.

How we help
A short look at the main steps. Open an item to read more.
When and for whom
We clarify whether a meal is needed after burial, on the 9th or 40th day, at six months or the anniversary. Guest numbers and format — from a close circle to a wider gathering — are agreed with you, without imposing “how it must be”.
Venue
We help choose a convenient option near home or the cemetery — or arrange a table at home. What matters is that relatives can arrive calmly and gather together.
Menu and details
We agree the menu for the number of guests, family traditions, and Lenten days if they fall on the memorial date. We confirm the time and contact with the venue — so the day of the meal does not require last-minute decisions.
On the day of the gathering
By agreement we coordinate welcoming guests and the course of the meal. You can be with relatives — we take on the organizational details in the agreed scope.
